T is for Time

T is for Time.

You will never write the book if you don’t carve out the time. I enjoy this A to Z blog challenge because it pushes me to find time to write…every. Single. Day.

I wrote The Kindness Machine when the world shut down during the global pandemic and I stepped away from my teaching position. I was able to focus on my family and write more than I ever had before. It’s not just time to write but also time to research, edit and learn about the publishing process.

It is definitely easier for me to write in the morning but that isn’t always an option. I have a choice: find a different time or wait until I am suddenly able to write in the mornings. I am choosing to write whenever I can to have something I can work on instead of waiting for the perfect moment. As Jodi Picoult said, “You might not write well every day, but you can always edit a bad page. You can’t edit a blank page.”

We all wish for more time in the day for a variety of different reasons. I am wishing you luck to find the time to do the things you love.
