K is for Kindness

K is for KINDNESS.

I have really enjoyed blogging letters A-J so far on this AtoZ blog challenge, but I have really been looking forward to K.

If you have been reading for awhile, you know that the idea of kindness is a hot topic for me, so much so that I wrote a children’s book called, The Kindness Machine. One of the most common questions I am asked is, “Why kindness? Why did you write a book about kindness?”

BECAUSE KINDNESS IS MISSING! Somehow kindness went out of style and we need to bring it back to the front and center with our words and actions. I am so proud that The Kindness Machine includes both ways to be kind to others and to ourselves. There are discussion questions at the beginning of the book and “magic questions” in the heart of the book to allow for self reflection and conversation. Teacher appreciation week is May 2-6 and this would make a gift that will continue to give year after year.

You can help spread kindness by taking part of the 50 state challenge! We are about half way there to completing this challenge with one month left to go!
