For the past 12 months, I have written a monthly newsletter that goes out to my subscribers. Each month, I featured an author to showcase their amazing work. Please support these wonderful women by clicking on the links below to explore their websites and purchase their books. You can always request books from your local library or favorite indy bookstore. With the holidays around the corner, I encourage you to spread the gift a literacy with a book or two from the list below. An easy and meaningful way to support an author is by telling others about their work and by leaving reviews.
Antoinette Truglio Martin
Antoinette is the author of “Hug Everyone You Know: A Year of Community, Courage, and Cancer“, “The Heart of Baker’s and Artists“, “The Dreams of Singers and Sluggers“, “The Wishes of Sisters and Singers.” The final three books are a delightful middle grade series that take place in the early 1900’s in New York with the Sicilian immigrant Taglia Family. The books transport you to a different and challenging time period and are filled with love, family, heartbreak, community and hope.
Natasha is the author of “Happy Tears & Rainbow Babies” and “Mike Nero and the Superhero School“. “Mike Nero and the Superhero School” – a story that celebrates our differences and reminds readers that it is not about what is on the outside but what is on the inside that matters most.
NelliRose is the author of “Nella’s Kindness Kicks” – a beautiful story that invites the youngest readers or listeners to stop and think about their actions and celebrate kindness.
Kaitlyn Derosiers & Megan McBryde
Kaitlyn and Megan are sisters and the authors of “Wonderfully Made” – a story that celebrates a family’s love through their actions and not their appearance.
Phillipa is the author of “Rupert’s Snowman” and “Emma’s Sunflower.” “Emma’s Sunflower” is a sweet story filled with hope that takes place through the seasons.
Pat is the author of “The Crystal Beads, Lalka’s Journey” – a powerful story of a mother’s love and sacrifice during the Holocaust.
Kiara is the author of “Which Cape Will I Wear Today?” – a story that spotlights the importance of positive self-talk through affirmations.
Valerie is the author of “Violet’s Victory” – a story that celebrates physical differences, perseverance, and kindness.
Bonny is the author of “Recess Magic” – a story that helps build empathy through a different perspective. “When we are kind, everyone wins!”
Aya is the author of “The Arabic Quilt: An Immigrant Story“, “Our World: Egypt“, and upcoming book “The Night Before Eid: A Muslim Family Story.” “The Arabic Quilt: An Immigrant Story” – a lovely story celebrating the beauty of languages and culture.
Coach Locke is a Physical Education teacher and author of “Kindness Wins: Stories of Love Elementary” – a perfect story to remind children to spread kindness and support one another in the gymnasium and beyond.

Leigh Ann is the author of “Cob and the Kingdom” – a playful spin on a classic knight and dragon tale with a giggle worthy ending!
